Hola people!

Hello blog world! I feel kind of weird because I feel like I am talking to myself but whatev. It's fun. Sooooo here's a little update....I'm still going to school, believe it or not I haven't given up. Yet. I went and saw a counselor about my major because I was thinking about changing it to some sort of counseling?? But, she shut down that idea reaaall fast. I guess I'd have to be going to school for quite some time and also it's very competitive anyway I've decided to stay with Home and Family Living with an emphasis in Interior Design. I'm very excited about it though. I am hopefully going to be able to do an internship my last semester at the Y. So we'll see :)

Second item of business. I have a job!!! Yes folks, I am employed. It is rather nice to be having some sort of income again, although I haven't actually received a paycheck, everytime I go to work I just feel more rich :) Hahaha just kidding. But seriously. Anywho, I work for a scrapbooking warehouse in Orem. I would be lying if I said I hated it because I love it!!! I'm basically an office assistant that gets to work with scrapbooking supplies all day long :) (or afternoon long....) I work with way awesome people and people that share my same interests. Everyone there is very craft oriented and I love talking about new craft ideas with them. Call me a nerd but I kind of like crafts. So yeah, I feel so incredibly blessed to have this job. I couldn't ask for a better place of employment and am very happy :) Oh side note: I get TWO WHOLE DAYS OFF for Christmas break at this job. Bummer. And also I just told my old work that I could work for them in the mornings so basically I will be happy once school is back in sessssiiiooon. Oh well, I will be raking in the dough.

Third item of business. Well...I am dating someone. Yes, I am. His name is Ryan Bartley. He will probably read this so I guess I better say really good things about him huh? Just kidding he is great! We got set up on a blind date and have been hanging out pretty regularly since then. As in pretty regularly I mean that we have seen each other everyday for hours on end for the past two and a half weeks. It's crazy to think it's been that short of time because I already feel like we know each other very well. So yeah....this is weird to talk about my love life on here but I want to. :) Anyway so last weekend he came up to have dinner with my family. Ooooh boi. It was quite the event. Hahaha We had a series of events that just made the "meeting the fam" so great. I won't go into detail about everything that happened mostly to let Ryan have some man pride still but trust me, it was wonderful. We both had a great time and from what my family has said (unless they are lying to me...) they like him. I kinda like him too so that works out well. Okay I'm done, I feel weird....go ahead, judge me for saying on the world wide web that I'm dating someone. :)

Well I guess I better study and quit boring all of you. I'm extremely sorry that I am not posting pictures this time. I know that a blog without pictures is prrreetyy lame so please forgive me. I don't have any on my computer and was going to just pull some off of the book of face but then I remembered I deactivated my facebook account ssssoooo that would be a little difficult. Next time I will add pictures, I promise.

PEACE!

TEXAS weekend!

Alright here I am! Blogging! So I thought I'd write a little about what's been going on. Is that what you do on here? Not sure...Anywho so I went to TEXAS!! And I loved it, to say the least. I got to see four of my siblings plus all the in-laws and nieces and nephews :) I woke up in the morning to my cute niece, Claire, saying, "Hi whisha!" over and over again. She is so adorable. I got to see all FIVE of my brother, Evan's kids. I also got to see my sister's daughter, Kara. It is hilarious to watch Kara and Claire play together. Claire dominates. I can't wait to watch them grow up. It is going to be so fun for them to be cousin's so close in age. And I got to see my brother, Gordon, who moved down to Houston this last summer. Basically, I love my family so much! I wish we all lived closer and we could get together more often. So while I was there I stayed with Laurel and Kevin and we worked on painting her kitchen cabinets. We didn't get them all done but we got a good start! It was so fun staying with them. I wish I could have stayed for longer! Here are a couple pictures of when the siblings got together and also the before pictures of the kitchen cabinets. We painted the cabinets a chocolate brown and they look really good!

Me with my handsome nephews while they played on Gordon's iPhone

Kara and I chillin on the couch

All of Evan's children!

All the siblings together! And to think there are still eight people missing from our family!

Kevin and Laurel preparing to paint!

Claire got into my makeup...Laurel tells me this is not an unusual occurance ;)

So there are a few pictures from my trip! Thanks to all of them for adjusting their schedules and to spend time with me :) Anyway school is bleh right now. I just had a pretty crazy week. Lots of tests and essays. Not my idea of fun. This weekend I have not even thought about school. It's great. Don't get me wrong, I like learning and I really like all of my professors but tests just stink. I'm a horrible test taker. Whatev. I feel like this post is kind of boring but I'm feeling kind of drained from everything right now haha hopefully my next one will be a little more lively. Peace out to whoever reads this!

P.S. Does anyone know how to make loading pictures easier?? When I load them they all go to the top and then it takes forever to drag them down to the bottom. Do I just add the pictures at the beginning and then type after? I need some help :)

Blog, blog, blog

So I've been wanting to get started with this whole blog world and created a blog a couple months ago but never posted anything...so here I am!! I guess I'll just write a little update about what's been going on in my life lately. I started school here at the Y the end of August and it has been a blast! I'm majoring in Home and Family Living with an emphasis in Interior Design, as for right now, I am considering changing but want to explore more majors and what not. I still live with Linsey Hunt, one of my best friends from high school. We have so much fun together and laugh rrreealy hard when we are together. One funny little side note about how Linsey and I think anything is funny that whoever reads this probably won't find funny but we were laughing for way too long about...Okay so I was on the book aka Facebook and one of my friends, who will remain nameless, put up a status that said "AHHH!!! What happened to all my trees and animals??!!! I am going to die!!" For all of you non-facebookers, there is this game called Farmville, I'm not very familiar with it but seriously, some people live for this game. It is sort of ridiculous. Anyway, so this person was LITERALLY freaking out over his virtual crops. So then all these people start commenting about how it's not a big deal, Facebook was just being slow that day and to hit like F1 or something and it might help. All these people are obsessed!! Anywho, needless to say my stomach hurt from laughing so hard at these crazy farmville peeps.

Wow that was probably just a meaningless story that I probably shouldn't have told but whatev. It's my blog. I can do whatever I want right?? Anyway...my roommates are way awesome. They are so much better than last year. That was rude but a true statement. We all get along very well and yes, we do have differences but they are nothing like last year's and the best part of all....they don't hate me for having a missionary!! Wahoo!!

Yesterday all of the roomies and I had the opportunity of going to the conference center and attending the second session of conference. We were on about the tenth row of the plaza. It was so neat we were so close to President Monson and all the other general authorities. When Elder Holland was giving his talk on the Book of Mormon we could literally see the writing on the book. When he lifted up the book I just got the chills. Not just because it was the same one that Hyrum had (I think that's who it was...haha) but because of the truthfulness of the book. Because Elder Holland, an intellectual learned man, had such a strong testimony and wanted to share it with the whole gospel. Because of what's inside of the book. I loved conference. I feel so blessed to be in this church :)

Okay so I remember when I first started my blog I attempted to do a post but lost internet connection so it all got deleted :(. But I remember what I was writing about. It was the day Laurel and Kevin moved to Texas. I was pretty sad. Last year, my freshman year, Laurel and Kevin were so great to me. They invited me over for dinner all the time, Kevin gave me relationship advice and was completely blunt with me, listened to all my roommate problems, let me play with Claire and show her off to all my friends, and just always being there for me. I miss them a whole lot. But.....the best part of this story is that I get to see them this weekend!!!!! I am going to visit them along with Evan and Angie, Elena and Andrew, Gordon, and all my wonderful nieces and nephews in TEXAS!! I leave Thursday and cannot wait! It has been a really long time since I've seen them all.

I wanted to post pictures but don't have them on my computer yet and am too lazy to put them on right now. I'll be sure to blog again and become a regular blogger :) maybe...

Here's one picture of my new roommates. Brittany Bartosiewicz, my wonderful best friend is an aspiring photographer and took pictures of our roommates. I'll post more pictures later but here is one of our favorites. It pretty much explains our apartment...always laughing :)
